Alexandria, Louisiana

Central Louisiana has become known as 'The Crossroad' implying that one of the area's biggest attractions is its central location. Arkansas, Mississippi, Texas and all of Louisiana are all easily accessible. However, location is not the only attraction in Alexandria.

The Alexandria area is rich in history and is second only to New Orleans for the number of places listed on the National Historic Register. Bikers, hikers, hunters and nature observers find Kistachie National Forest an attractive destination. The Wild Azalea National Recreation trail and The Fullerton Lake Recreation Complex in the vicinity of Alexandria are also favorable among visitors.

Fishermen are not left out when it comes to recreation. Cotile Lake, Kincaid Lake, Iatt Lake, Black Lake, Cane River Lake and Chicot Lake offer plenty of boating and fishing opportunities.
